Over $176 million dollars in aid distributed to the poor and needy in Israel Since 2000.
Springtime is a time of new beginnings right here in Israel. In Shlomi, near the northern border with Lebanon, families are finally returning home after a year and a half of displacement caused by rocket attacks and fear of invasion.
Many spent those 18 months living in small hotel rooms, surviving out of suitcases. When they returned, their homes were decayed from neglect—mattresses chewed by rats, curtains eaten by insects, and refrigerators full of rot. One family's roof was even destroyed by a rocket strike.
The Joseph Project International stepped in to help these families resettle, providing beds, mattresses, toasters, sheets, covers, toys, and more. Working with local partners, we held a massive distribution event to help families restore their homes and find stability again.
This effort is about more than furniture—it's about restoring peace of mind. One resident shared with tears, “When we see that you’re thinking about us, it gives us peace in our hearts.”
