In the lower city of Haifa, Nehama and her three small children had no access to a safe shelter when missiles fell during Iran's attack. With nowhere else to go, they took refuge in a moldy, foul-smelling underground parking garage, three floors below ground.
They spent night after night sleeping on the cold concrete in fear.
Because of your generosity, we were able to provide them with mattresses, games, and art supplies to bring light into their darkest hours. Nehama shared:
"What you brought us is very helpful and puts a smile on the children's faces. I hope it ends soon and we can go back to sleep at home. A missile fell quite close to us and the noise was very scary. Everything shook."
